🌸 The Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism (Ashtamangala)

  1. Endless Knot (Śrīvatsa) – Symbol of infinite wisdom, compassion, and the interconnection of all things. It has no beginning or end, representing eternal harmony.

  2. Lotus Flower (Padma) – Symbol of purity and spiritual awakening. The lotus rises unstained from muddy waters, just as the enlightened mind transcends worldly suffering.

  3. Two Golden Fish (Matsya) – Represent happiness and freedom from fear. Like fish swimming freely in water, they symbolize liberation from the cycle of rebirth.

  4. Parasol (Chatra) – Symbol of protection from suffering, obstacles, and negative influences. It offers shelter under the shade of spiritual refuge.

  5. Treasure Vase (Kalasha) – Represents spiritual and material abundance, longevity, and the inexhaustible blessings of enlightenment.

  6. White Conch Shell (Śaṅkha) – Symbol of the far-reaching sound of the Buddha’s teachings, awakening beings from ignorance.

  7. Victory Banner (Dhvaja) – Represents the victory of knowledge and truth over ignorance and negativity, as well as success on the spiritual path.

  8. Dharma Wheel (Dharmachakra) – Symbol of the Buddha’s teachings and the path to enlightenment. Its eight spokes correspond to the Noble Eightfold Path.

🕉️ Tingshas & Spiritual Practice

Tingshas (ding-shas, cymbals) are used as musical offerings in spiritual practices and during meditation practice, at regular intervals, in order to maintain concentration. “Musical offerings” are common during pujas (praying rituals) when a number of instruments are used: bells, drums, cymbals and horns.

🌿 Tingshas & Feng Shui

In Feng Shui, Tingshas are used to clear stagnant energy, restore harmony, and invite prosperity and positive flow into your home or workspace. They are ideal for energy cleansing before meditation, rituals, or when a room feels heavy or stagnant.

🪷 How to Store Tingshas

Keep your Tingshas in a clean, sacred space, wrapped in natural fabric when not in use or keep them in a special tingsha brocade two compartment holder — treat them as sacred sound instruments, used for alignment, clarity, and peace.

Let their clear tone remind you of the stillness and balance within your own being.
